The Best Pencil Sharpener

Are you always looking for sharpened pencils in your classroom?  Let me tell you, I am.  Each teacher at my has an electric pencil sharpener in their classroom.  However, after a while it seems these pencil sharpeners stop working (or the kids jam them up).  After my electric sharpener stopped working, I went on the hunt for another pencil sharpener for my room.  I wanted something that would last (and would sharpen the pencils of course.
As I was searching I found several reviews for a Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener.  I decided to give it a try.  Boy am I glad I did!
They have lots of different colors of sharpeners.  Don't you love the colors?  Colors make me happy.  I chose the pink sharpener to match my room decor.  When I got the sharpener, I had to test it out right away.
This was the first pencil I sharpened with the sharpener.  I fell in love.  It got the pencil so sharp.  In fact I joked that it could cause harm if poked with it (The next day, one of my kids found that out.)  Of course, all of my kids had to watch and have a pencil sharpened with this new toy!  So new pencils for everyone.

Here is another pencil being sharpened.  At first, it was kind of tricky to figure out how to work it.  You simply push in on the black knobs and pull out, while pushing in, insert the pencil and start sharpening by turing the crank.  It is so simple.  The sharpener will stop sharpening (you can hear it) when the pencil is sharp.

The only con I found to the pencil sharpener (among all the positives trust me!!) is that it came with a mounting tool that I can't get to mount in my room.  So, the sharpener just sits on my desk (I don't let the kids use it).  After sharpening a few pencils, it tends to leave pencil led rubbings on whatever I have it sitting on.  I usually just place a piece of paper under it for this reason.

Here is a video of the sharpener in action in my classroom.
Finally, here is a video from Classroom Friendly that you can watch.
This is by far my all time favorite sharpener.  I highly recommend getting on to try for yourself.  I have a feeling you won't be disappointed.
