Valentine's Day Memories

What a week in second grade.  I don’t have any pictures to post, but I do have a few funny stories to share from the silly kids in second grade.
1.  One of my kiddos (a boy) brought another kiddo (a girl) a cute teddy bear and dressed up in a suit complete with tie for her on V-day.

2.  Another student (boy) brought a girl in my class roses and a zebra and dressed up with gel in his hair for V-day.

3.  I have a student in my class whose name is James, my teaching partner also has a James.  Well, my James did her James' work on the computer.  The James is really high and her James is a bit on the lower side.  Well, I guess his scores and curve line will be really high for Friday.

I know what you might be thinking.  What is up with this?  Honestly, I have no idea.  I didn’t know that any of this was going to happen.  Surprise.
Finally, One of my girls came to class on Friday carrying 10 boxes of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies for another one of my girls.  She gave the cookies to the girl and proceeded to ask for money.
Of course I was like “Did your mom order those?”  The girl said “No, They are for a cookie booth business I am starting up.”  I said does your mom know you ordered those.  Her response “No, I was going to surprise her.  I said, “Do you realize that is 40 dollars worth of cookies? How are you going to pay for them?”  Her response, “I have quarters in my backpack.”  After quickly running away to have a good laugh, and decide what to do, I had to call her parents.  Thankfully they were very supportive and took the cookies (making the girl pay for them out of her allowance.
*On a side note, the girl’s mom told me she doesn’t like mint anything!!!  Wonder who will eat all of the cookies?  How was your week?
God Bless!
